Studies show that only 2-4% of inorganic iron is absorbed in the body due to the iron-binding ions contained in it, but can also prevent the absorption of other minerals and vitamins taken at the same time. Unlike these types of iron, chlorinated iron (New Iron®) does not prevent the absorption of other minerals and vitamins.
Compared to iron sulphate, chelated iron is absorbed 70-75% better and has four times more bioavailability which ensures higher iron levels in the body.
When chelated iron is taken at the right doses, it has no side effects, including digestive problems, constipation and nausea.
New Iron® is characterized by several factors:
• Small and stable molecules: do not disrupt gastric acid or digestive enzymes. This means we can absorb a large part of the chelated iron.
• High bioavailability (easy absorption): 70-75% better absorption and four times more bioavailability than ferrous sulfate. Does not prevent the absorption of other vitamins and minerals taken at the same time.
• Safety: 2.6 times safer than ferrous sulfate and safer than inorganic iron from food or supplements. Despite increased bioavailability, it is extremely safe. Controlled absorption ensures that the body absorbs only the amount of iron it lacks.
• The capsule is made of hydroxy-propyl methylcellulose (HPMC) which makes it suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
• It contains folic acid and vitamin B12. Anemia is caused by deficiency of iron, B12 and folic acid so it is important to take all three.
• Vitamin C in New Iron® increases iron absorption and is therefore important in conjunction with iron intake.
